      We read with great interest the recently published article by Kanna et al [

      ] entitled, “Peri-operative analgesic efficacy and safety of erector spinae plane block in posterior cervical spine surgery-a double blinded, randomized controlled study,” published in April 2022 in The Spine Journal. We appreciate the authors’ great work, however, after reading the article carefully, we also found some worthwhile issues that we would like to raise to the investigators.
